Shirley Hendrix

Shirley Hendrix

President

Shirley Hendrix, Board President, is a Steelville native. She worked as a legal secretary for local attorneys in the community for over 25 years. Shirley has been married to her husband, Warren, for 53 years and has 1 daughter, 2 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. In her free time, Shirley enjoys fishing, hunting, working on the farm, reading, and doing embroidery work. Shirley has served on the Board since 1994.

Vice President

Steve Yocom, a life-long resident of Davisville, MO, currently serves as Vice President of Steelville Telephone Exchange, Inc. He also serves on the following committees: Policy and Bylaws; Finance, Investments and Audits; and Election Committee. He has farmed all of his life and continues to farm with his daughter in a joint cattle business. Steve is married and has one grandchild. Steve has served on the Board since 2008.

Patricia (Pat) Snodgrass

Pat Snodgrass is completing her 16th year as a Director of Steelville Telephone Exchange/STE and serves as Board Secretary. She is a recent retiree of University of Missouri Extension having served as County Program Director/Housing Specialist in the Crawford County Extension Center, South Central and East Central Regions for over 41 years. She is married to Rustin Snodgrass, and they have 2 children and 6 grandchildren. Russ and Pat farm a beef cattle operation in Phelps and Maries Counties and own a Missouri Century Farm. They enjoy sports, vacationing with family and friends, and spending time outdoors.

Treasurer Terry Beckham

Terry Beckham

Treasurer

Terry Beckham, Board Treasurer, was born and raised in Steelville, graduated from Steelville High in 1966, spent a tour in the Army, attended college earning a degree in accounting and a master’s in business administration. Most of his work experience has been in government accounting and auditing, including over 25 years as an auditor with the Army Corps of Engineers. Terry has a grown son and daughter and 4 grandchildren. He was elected to the STE board of directors in 2004 and has been serving as corporate treasurer for the last 12 years. He also serves as an alderman on the City Council. This leaves him with plenty of time for bass fishing and playing around with his amateur radios.

Virginia Mae Halbert

Virginia Halbert

Assistant Secretary

Virginia Halbert, Assistant Secretary, has lived in the Steelville community all of her life. She worked for the State of Missouri as a Social Worker and retired from that position after 40 years of service. Virginia has 1 son and 1 daughter and is the proud grandmother to 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Virginia is active in her church and enjoys helping others. Virginia has served on the Board since 2008.

Jim Vaughn

James (Jim) L. Vaughn

Jim Vaughn, Board Member since 1999, was born in Crawford County near Wesco, Missouri. As a young child, he moved to St. Louis where he attended school. After graduating from high school, Jim attended college and then joined the Air Force where he proudly served his country for 4 years. Jim moved his family back to the family farm in 1976 where they raised Angus cattle and horses. He retired from the U. S. Geological Survey where he spent 20 years helping develop modern day map making. He also spent time as a hunting guide in Colorado. He and his wife, Joyce, have been married 54 years and have 5 children. They are grandparents to 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Jim is an active member in his church and enjoys family time and hunting and fishing.

Bruce Donal, Board Member, was elected to the Board in September of 2018. Bruce graduated from Steelville R-3 High School in 1977. Over the years, Bruce has held various job positions – kitchen remodeler, residential carpenter/electrician, and police officer. He spent 20 years working at a private resort with the last position being Resort Manager. Bruce and his wife, Cheryl, have been married for 41 years. They have 1 son and 2 wonderful granddaughters. Bruce loves spending time with family, especially traveling and vacationing with the granddaughters. He collects Native American Artifacts, coins, and likes to hunt and fish.

Rosella Roberts

Rosella Roberts. Board Member, is a Steelville Native and was elected to the Board in 2009. She began her career at First Community National Bank in 1964. She graduated from the LSU School of Banking in 1986. She was very active in the banking business and held various positions during her 42 years of service with the bank. Presently she is a Director Emeritis with the FCNB Board of Directors. Rosella likes to travel, serves on many community boards and is an active volunteer with the Steelville Arts Council, Meramec Music Theatre, and Golden Echoes.

Tom Beezley, Board Member, has been on the STE board for the last 12 years. For the past 25 years, Tom has been employed at Aerofil Technology in Sullivan, MO. He has 2 children and 2 grandchildren and likes spending time outside doing yard work and going to the lake and riding the jet ski.
